Yesterday, Trey felt the side effects of his treatments and medications. He just didn't feel very good most of the day. He kept complaining that his stomach hurt. He would tell me "Mom I just don't feel very good." So he went upstairs to go to sleep in the middle of the afternoon and threw up. Good thing he had a bowl...but I still had some to clean up. Yuck! Poor boy. He was hurting really bad. He said it was a really sharp pain in his tummy. I called the doctor and they said that was probably because of the medication he was on. Sounds like we may be seeing more of this as time goes on. We embrace the good days and prepare for the not so good ones.

Today Trey was more himself. Of course food was back in his vocabulary. :) He had his first home school lesson with his 3rd grade teacher. We are so glad Miss Mitchell has been willing to come to our house and tutor Trey twice a week. Thank you Miss Mitchell! He is working really hard so as to keep up with his class.

Tomorrow he goes in for another chemo dose. We found out also that he will need another bone marrow aspiration. They tested it from last time and found that he has 5%leukemia in the bone marrow. When they first tested it while he was in the hospital it was 95% leukemic cells in the bone marrow. If he had less then 5% they wouldn't need to do this procedure this time. So he'll need to fast. No food after midnight! Yikes! He's already asking when he'll be able to have something to eat. Poor guy. He'll make it though. He's a trooper!
